In order to comply with government legislation a Commercial EPC should be made available to any new tenant or purchaser of a commercial premises. It is now a legal requirement for a Commercial EPC to be available to all potential purchasers or tenants of all commercial property offered for sale or let. This certificate should be made available as soon as marketing commences.
At Swadling Energy Assessments we can get you in contact with surveyors who are qualified to produce both level 3 and level 4 certificates. This means that we are able to produce certificates for both large and small commercial units.

Energy Performance certificates (Domestic)
The importance of monitoring energy efficiency has been highlighted by the introduction of the Home Information Pack (HIP).
An important part of the HIP is an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). Required for buildings under the EU Energy Performance in Buildings Directive, it will provide a property with a consumer-friendly A to G energy rating - with the the most efficient homes having an 'A' energy rating and less impact on the environment.
An EPC certificate is required whenever a building is constructed, sold or rented and will contain the current average costs for heating, hot water and lighting in a property, as well as suggestions on how to cut costs with energy efficiency measures.
The EPC will be generated by a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor who will be required to carry out inspections on the condition of properties.
